Casa Lorena is a contemporary residence shaped by a powerful reference: the Inca temple of Puruchuco in Lima, Peru. Rather than a literal translation, the project reinterprets its spatial logic—proportions, circulation, and relationship to the terrain—to create a home in constant dialogue with the landscape. The stepped massing, clean lines, and composition of patios evoke the sense of shelter and openness characteristic of pre-Hispanic architecture.

During excavation, large stones were uncovered across the site. Instead of removing them, they became a design opportunity. Integrated into gardens and circulation paths, these stones ground the project in the history of the land itself. Their presence introduces a natural, almost ritual quality, allowing the house to emerge from the landscape rather than sit on top of it.

The result is a residence that blends memory and modernity, where ancestral principles shape spaces that are clear, functional, and warm. Casa Lorena is more than a residence—it is a habitable landscape, a synthesis of architecture, territory, and time.
