Grab Bag Project
For this project we randomly selected an object from a Grab Bag.
I got a slinky toy, and after analyzing and playing with it for a while, I initiated the design process for an object that must share at least one characteristic with my assigned toy.
Throughout this creative journey, I discovered numerous parallels between my slinky and a measuring tape. Consequently, I decided to draw inspiration from this connection for my concept and resultant form.
The culminating piece is a sculptural wall installation that represents the delicate equilibrium between nature (embodied by the rock) and humanity (manifested through construction material waste). Suspended on the wall, the piece can be moved over a four metal-piece mechanism symbolizing the intricate system within which we all coexist. In this second solo project, we delved into the captivating rhythms of nature.
